For some time now we've tooled around with the idea of permanently mounting our 46" Sony. One of the biggest roadblocks in our way was the not so wall friendly, overpriced mounting kits. With the on time arrival of Telehook's VESA Wire Mount, that's not a big problem for us anymore.After inventorying all the included hardware, I broke out the tv manual to ensure that this was a go. Good thing I did. As a back up plan we were going to mount the 48" LG in the family room instead of the Sony. The VESA cannot be configured to our older set. We opted with our original plan. Its also a good idea to know the weight of your television. This system can hold up to 110 pounds. Knowing the size of the required bolts for the tv is paramount. This kit comes with 8mm x 200mm bolts only. Luckily we were okay in that department. The only tools that we needed were a drill, drill bits, level, and a screwdriver. Fairly easy to install, and seemingly sturdy enough to hang on in the earthquake zone of the West Coast, the Telehook TH-400-LED Slim Wire Mount for LED TVs is highly recommended.Installation was supported by two people, even though it may have been a one person's job. The instructions were simple to follow, and we also used additional anchors from the hardware store for extra support since our LED screen is rather large and heavy. We've had a 42" Sanyo HDTV for a while now, and had it standing upright on a desk in our living room. We wanted to mount it on the wall, but the mounting kits I've seen are big, cumbersome and quite expensive. Then I saw this and thought I'd try a less expensive and lighter weight alternative. It works great. It has nearly everything you need to mount most large televisions on the wall.Before you buy, though, you should check the television manual for mounting instructions. You need to be sure that your television has the VESA 400x400mm mounting interface. One other thing to check is the size of the screw mounts on your television. This kit comes with 8mmx20mm bolts. The kit also comes with 8mmx40mm bolts and little adapters in case the mount holes on the back of your television are indented.
