I am using this for an ASUS 26" 21 lb monitor. After reading the previous review I was very careful to follow the installation instructions which are adequate but leave a few details out. First, when you mount the thing to the wall studs use a level on the side of the base or it will probably end up slightly crooked. Next, the included allen wrenches are not discussed but are for tightening the tilt mechanism in the back. At first glance it appears there is a phillips head screw for that on each side, but not so. If you tighten the four allen screws mentioned above there will be no problem with the tilt adjustment. Having done all this I can say this thing is a real bargain. It works very well for what I am using it for and I would highly recommend it, especially if you want to get your monitor off your desk.

I just purchased a 19" LCD TV for the kitchen. Because it was high up on a shelf, the viewing angle was too much and the picture looked bad. This TV mount was just what I needed to allow the TV to tilt forward to minimize the vertical viewing angle. Ok I don't know where to start, as far as pieces go everything ever needed is included as far as mounting different Tv's. The top bracket tilts for use on a vaulted ceiling however you can't get the screw tight enough to stop the tilt, which makes the tv look like it's taking a nose dive. The joint where the bars meet the swival bar is for junk, it bends alot at this joint, and no it's not supposed to bend. It hooks to the tv wonderfully, however the tv seams a little top heavy. We have the back bracket up all the way (on our 50 inch tv) there is a tilt divice but it is NOT needed because the tv tilts/pulls away from the top of the bar. The bar is in no way straight up and down. The tv sits at a tilt of more than 15 degrees without the tilt device tilted any. The 360 degree swival works but as you turn the tv around the bar freaks out and makes you think the tv is going to hit the floor. Here is the reason why I give this mount 1 star, and why you should not buy this product:
The instruction manual are terrible. You can never tell what screw you should use or what thing you should tighten. It says it is "Universal" but the screws my TV needed could not be found. It was impossible to move the movable components. Make sure you have a hammer before you start. Once we installed it, we were not able to tighten the screws and bolts so the projector would stay there. All in all, we wasted a lot of effort and time to put this together and up to the ceiling.

Listen to me, find a good alternative and save yourself sometime.

This product is good and delivers exactly what is advertised. I rate it 5 stars.

I purchased this after reviewing perhaps 50 other units. It seems most products don't include enough information to make an informed decision, so I felt like I was taking a gamble with whichever unit I chose. My primary criteria was to find something strong enough that would not sag with a 52" LCD flatscreen, would have enough adjustments to make itself sit level, and would be able to pull out from the bookshelf space where it would be mounted.

The unit is well constructed. There is no excessive play, the parts are all strong, and the machining done with nice quality. The back of the unit is ~19 inches across and fit my 16" studs nicely, and because of the location of the studs, the mounted part is offset from center about 5". This wall mount serves its purpose. I have mounted a 50" plasma to it and the full motion range allows an excellent viewing angle.

Be careful with the bolts when mounting the bracket to your wall studs. Per the included instructions, I properly drilled 2.5" pilot holes using a 3/16" drill bit. When turning the included 5/16" x 3 1/2" bolts, three of the four twisted off ~1" down the length of the bolt (where the threads end). Clearly a manufacturing defect.

The exact same size bolts purchased at my local hardware store had no such difficulties. I would hate for someone to think their TV is mounted appropriately and have it fall off the wall! These bad bolts may be an anomaly, but please check yours when mounting the bracket. The bracket itself is quite sturdy.

This is very heavy duty wall mount that swivels form the wall up to 20" and then folds flat against the wall to keep it out of the way. I could mount a tv much bigger than my 47", much heavier that what I saw at Best Buy, Walmart, Sears etc, The value was amazing, I saved so much buying from here.
