I looked around quite a bit for a mount that I wanted. I wanted tilt and I wanted the articulating arms. Since I have a 400 x 200 VESA TV my options were limited. I decided on this one because it had prime shipping and some decent reviews. I should have read the reviews more carefully. (Pros and Cons at the end)

I'm a guy, so when I open up a project I want to figure it out and complete it on my own, then read the instructions. But this time I decided to give the instructions a try first. As another reviewer pointed out, THE INSTRUCTIONS HAVE NO WORDS ON THEM. Step 1 has 3 options you should use depending on your TV's VESA setup. I picked mine and installed it as pictured. It was frustrating that I couldn't tell where the top of the TV is on the diagram though. I found out I had set it up upside down so I had to take it off and put it back on. I mounted a 32" Vizio over our bath tub, took about 30 minutes from beginning to end. Someone complained in another review that the mounting screws to a Vizio did not work, however, I did not have this issue. The lack of a single word in the instructions is a bit frustrating, so I just pieced it together prior to any screw or bolt tightening.
The arms are just long enough so that I can swing the TV 90 degrees for different viewing angles, and this is exactly what I wanted this product for. To tilt down while in the tub or to swing around while getting ready for an outing.

I purchased several of these mounts to place in classrooms. That are very lightweight and easy to install. There is nothing complex or fancy about them and it makes hanging a screen a breeze. This is a perfect example of keeping it simple to be most effective.

The ability to adjust the distance of the screen from the wall is really nice especially when you need extra clearance for an interactive whiteboard or wall mounted map.

I used these products to hang a movie screen. The situation was this:

1) I had been projecting onto an open, white wall.
2) My wife told me that I had to fill that wall up with bookshelves.
3) I now had to hang a screen about one and a half feet in front of the wall (so that it would hang past the bookshelves).

This product did the job like a dream. The screwed on hooks allow one to level a screen perfectly and they have enough lateral give to allow one to fit both brackets onto a stud with ease. The bolt holes that one uses to bolt the product to the wall are big enough to accommodate some pretty sturdy hardware, and that is good for those of us who are hanging heavy items.

All in all, it is a great product. The only annoyance is that it is a little difficult to get some of the bolts in because of the triangular shape of the unit. However, there is no substitute for the triangle for sturdiness. Hence, the annoyance is well worth the... Read more

The image for these Da-Lite mounting brackets actually shows three different models (small, medium, and the largest, #23). This photo matches the image from the instructions, so I can see the source of confusion: the manufacturer includes all 3 images on their promotional material for each individual size, which can be confusing.

At least with respect to the largest such mount, the brackets are quite sturdy and well-constructed. Yes, they're simply plastic, but they're HUGE in cross-section, and clearly able to sustain heavy load. From the markings, EACH bracket is rated for 75 pounds, so together they can easily withstand a combined 150lbs of force.

I mounted mine to a cinder-block classroom wall using a few cheap Tapcon cement screws, and it locked solidly into place. Note that with the larger unit, the screen will hang a minimum 8" or so away from the wall (maximum perhaps 18" using the included steel extension rod), which will reduce your picture size... Mounted my Samsung 50" plasma using this mount. My display is about 70 pounds.

Installation was fairly simple. The back plate is 30 inches wide, so you will only be able to get 2 studs max. Important points:

1. It is very important to make sure the lag bolts drill into the studs.
2. The included hardware is iffy, so go spend the $5 at your local hardware store and get some better bolts.
3. The level on the back plate is not 100% accurate, so make sure to use your own.

The important thing to to measure where you want your holes and then measure them again and then make sure everything is level.

The construction of the mount and rails felt very sturdy.

For those that have never mounted a tv before there are 2 parts. A back plate that bolts on to your wall and then 2 rails that bolt onto the back of your display. You then place your display on the backplate. The rails have hooks to secure it onto the plate and then... Read more

I originally purchased a mount from Best Buy for almost $200 and when I got it home I decided to check Amazon for a better deal.
This was the outcome of a very short search. I ordered this mount and it showed up at my house in two days. This item is very well made and nicely finished in flat black powdercoat. I hung a 52" lcd on it in about 1/2 hour time.
DO NOT spend $200 on a wall mount!
By the way....the Best Buy mount went back the next day.

I was a little concerned about purchasing this mount because it was so much less expensive than many of the others. I don't have extensive experience with HD TV wall mounts but this one does the job well and I am NOT disappointed. My only complaint is that the screws that it comes with for attaching it to the wall are crap. Two of them broke when I was screwing them into wooden studs - not plaster or concert but simple 2x4 wall studs! As a result my confidence level in the screws diminished and I went to the hardware store to buy new more robust ones. I still gave it 5 stars because other than that it as excellent value and I do not see any reason to buy a more expensive flat panel wall mount.
